The Mindera UK Foundation is committed to fostering greater diversity and inclusion in the technology sector by engaging a broad range of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young adults aged 16–30. Our mission is to help them build essential digital skills and improve their chances of employability, ensuring they have the confidence, opportunities and tools to pursue meaningful careers or otherwise.

Through the Youth Development Fund 2025, we offer unrestricted grants of up to £1,000 to charities and grassroots organisations that support young adults as described in one or both of the following areas:

1. Digital Skills & Access – Teaching essential digital skills for life and work, upgrading tech resources, and building confidence in using technology.

2. Employment & Career Support – Providing mentorship, CV and interview coaching, creating work experience pathways, and helping young people overcome barriers to employment, education, or training.

This funding is designed to strengthen your organisation’s ongoing work—not just specific projects—so that, together, we can create lasting impact for young people across the East Midlands (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and/or Nottinghamshire).

Is your organisation UK-based and operating services within either Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and/or Nottinghamshire?

Does your organisation have an annual income below £500,000?

Has your organisation been established for at least 12 months?

Does your organisation have at least two unrelated board, trustee, or committee members?

Do you have a bank account in the organisation’s name requiring dual authorisation for transactions?

Do you have published accounts or detailed financial records for the past 12 months?

Do you have an income and expenditure projection for the next 12 months? (you may be asked to provide a simple income/expenditure summary)

Does your organisation have comprehensive reserves and safeguarding policies in place? (you may be asked to share these with us if your application is successful)
